Global Beauty Trends Are Changing…Finally

How Global Consumer Trends are Changing.

Sometimes I just like to comment on things happening in my industry. Here are a few of the highlights from Mintel’s 2025 Global Consumer Report. Mintel is the world’s leading Market Intelligence agency.

As a 50+ consumer, can you relate? I sure can

According to Mintel these are the 3 global beauty and personal care trend categories changing consumer behaviour in 2025

1“(My) Knowledge is Power: Consumers will work smarter (not harder), combining knowledge, tools and technology to achieve personalized solutions for superior results.

2 Turning the Tide: With the effect of climate change becoming more evident, brands will be expected to consider eco-ethical implications as consumers demand a seamless connection between ethical practices and high-performance beauty solutions.

3 Think Slow, Move Fast: Emphasising prevention over repair and embracing simplicity, consumers will start their ‘routines’ sooner in life, integrating nostalgic and sensory-rich experiences in pursuit of personalized skincare.”

As a beauty pioneer I have seen so many trends come and go in Beauty and Cosmetics over the years. What I’ve learned is most trends are evident in your own buying habits. When change is in the air you can see it happening if you pay attention.

I love buying eco-friendly. As a business owner I’ve responded to this trend by offering a Zero Waste Self Care Station at my Village Shopping Center store ( ISC Beauty Self Care Lounge) which includes Skincare, Body care and Hair care. You can check out my online store here. We use Square, it is very easy to use and keeps all our customer info and financial reports in the one place.

As a consumer of eco friendly products here are my top 5 products that are part of my daily rituals :

1 Eco-friendly exfoliating pouches, I pop my soap in these and love them

2 Exfoliating mitt to dry brush my skin before bathing or showering, you can wash it and it gives a great exfoliation.

3 Aurora Facial Bar, this zero waste bar is Gorgeous on the skin. it helps with break outs and leaves my skin silky smooth.

4 Whale Tail Soap Dish designed and made by Kevin Coffin, I love NL and this cute little soap dish of a whale tail reminds me of summer days at the beach on Northern Bay Sands. You can purchase it here

5 Silk and Snow Sheets, these flax linen sheets are comfy and 100% natural. They are expensive but totally worth the price. I slept on similar ones to these at the Fogo Island Inn and instanly became obsessed! You can get them here
